| 12 July 2012 A very talented group of accelerator physicists have come together from around the world to develop the technologies and design for a next-generation lepton collider that will complement CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. Who better to learn accelerator physics from? The International Accelerator School for Linear Colliders to be held in Indore, India, next autumn offers this opportunity and applications are being accepted now for this year’s school. Linear Collider Accelerator School

| 19 January 2012 The Sixth International Accelerator School for Linear Colliders was held from 6 to 17 November at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, California, US. The Global Design Effort has co-sponsored this successful school from inception and we are proud of the fact that many graduates have gone on to careers in accelerator science, including at the ILC. ILC Scientists Organize International School for Linear Colliders

| 17 November 2005 At the Snowmass Workshop, amid the debates over detectors, linac design and costing estimates, a committee organized an accelerator school to recruit new young physicists to join the International Linear Collider collaboration. On 17 August, a nine-person committee chaired by Global Design Effort Director Barry Barish met to start organizing the International School for Linear Colliders. The first global accelerator school to have such a defined focus, the International School for Linear Colliders will be held on 19 May 2006 to 27 May 2006 at Sokendai, the Graduate School for Advanced Studies, in Hayama, Japan, just 70 kilometers south of Tokyo.
