The Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge

| 19 November 2009 (...) At the American Linear Collider Physics Group workshop at Albuquerque (ALCPG09), we had a very informative presentation by Stuart Henderson of Oak Ridge on "The Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) Linac: Performance and Operational Experience." -- By Barry Barish Category: Director's Corner | Tagged: ,

The Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge Laboratory

| 18 September 2008 The recently completed Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) (...) project promises to move neutron science into a new era and both the execution of the project and some key technologies are of important to our efforts towards the International Linear Collider. New SCRF test facility at Oak Ridge

| 24 January 2008 At first glance a neutron source used for materials research and a planned particle accelerator to answer questions about matter, forces and the origins of the Universe might not seem to have all that much in common. At least not to the non-accelerator experts among us. At second glance, however, similarities and overlaps appear that turn the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the US into a small but powerful parallel experience for the ILC.
