In recent years, linear collider workshops have been held twice a year: a regionally hosted one in spring and an internationally hosted one in autumn. They all rotate between Asia, North America and Europe.
This year, an internationally hosted workshop – the International Workshop on Future Linear Colliders (LCWS 2019) – will be held in Sendai, Japan, from Monday, 28 October 28 to Friday, 1 November, at the Sendai International Center. The registration is now open.
While the workshop will be dealing with the physics, detectors, and accelerator issues of CLIC and ILC as the previous meetings in the series, the timing is critical in terms of the European Particle Physics Strategy Update in its final phase, and also since the Japanese government will be coming close to its decision regarding the ILC. There will be presentations and exhibitions by relevant industries as well. The meeting also coincides with the peak of autumn foliage with many popular spots in the surrounding area. Autumn is also the season for harvest.
Looking forward to see you in Sendai!
